All of our aviaries come with 2 Gouldian Finches and Society Finches.
Other varieties of birds are available upon request. We offer to our Classic Aviaries customers the best products available for the health and
environment of their birds - special seed with no unnecessary fillers that we
mix from the grains the birds need; special fortified egg food; enclosed water
fountains so the birds cannot soil the water (open water is a major cause of
bird deaths, as it fouls rapidly).
GOULDIAN FINCHES
These beautiful little birds are
originally from Australia. Because
the Gouldian Finches are on the
endangered list in Australia, they
have to be raised in the United
States. They are the most colorful of
all the finches. Gouldian Finches
are a little harder to raise because
they enjoy their privacy, but they get
along well with Society Finches. A
number of color mutations have
been developed and you may see
these in your aviary.
We raise our Gouldian Finches exclusively for our
Classic Design Aviaries customers.
SOCIETY (BENGALESE) FINCHES
This species of finch was
developed by the Chinese to raise
the young of other species. These
birds are excellent foster parents,
playful and sociable. Tan and
white, brown and white and all white
are some of the colors of our
Society Finches in our aviaries.
Like our Gouldian Finches, we
raise them exclusively for our
Classic Design Aviaries customers.
